- Laurie hummed against his shoulderblades. A smile graced her face, and she peppered his neck with loving little kisses. "I think so, honestly. I've never been this happy in my life, honey." As he turned around, she reached up, grabbed hold of his chin - pressing her lips against his mouth, pouring all her love into it. "Do you remember Greta and Anthony, grandpa's friends? They came to the funeral." Brayden acknowledged her words with a nod. "Married for fifty years, I believe. They're brother and sister."
- Brayden's brows shot upwards. "Oh? I had no idea."
- A timid smile was shared. "Love can be unexpected, and come from the last place you'd think to look. But if it's real and true, between two consenting adults, then I don't think it could ever be wrong. I believe your grandpa felt the same way about it." The sea was still calm; serenely ebbing and flowing, a comforting presence in itself.
